We had a wonderful breakfast this morning of Lekvar (prune butter…it’s better than it sounds!) and Apricot pierogies from Pierogies Plus and a little Italian Twist bread from Mancini’s.
A day to catch up on some things or as Marj told one of her business clients…we are taking a day off from vacation to catch up on some business emails. Also, Chet’s computer woes continued as his Quicken stopped working and his e-mail provider changed servers. So, since it is a rainy day anyway, it’s a good chance to contact tech support and get things cleared up.
With the forecast for severe weather in the area we rearranged our plans to visit our friends Tim and Lisa Lang at their house. They decided to come to where we were. We had a nice visit over some Quaker Steak and Lube hot wings. The sun was coming out and it was looking like a nice evening. So, back to the hotel where we could show Tim and Lisa the Spyder and give them a chance to check it all out. On the way back to the hotel we stopped to log our geocache for the day…Lisa’s first! It was a Light Pole Cache, which was the same type of geocache we helped Tim find for his first one in Chicago.
It was great catching up with the Langs…they are headed back home and we are busy getting everything packed back up to hit the road again tomorrow. It was a nice break from the road for a couple of days.
