We started Day 14 in Tallahassee, FL. Today was mainly working our way to south Florida. It was a pretty hot day again. It started out around 59 and made it up to 95 before we got to Sarasota, FL. We made a water stop at least every hour to stay hydrated. At our water stop in Perry, Fl we struck up a conversation with one of the locals and asked for a recommendation for lunch about an hour down the road. He told us we would be in Chiefland by then and Bar-B-Que Bill’s would be a great choice. He was spot on!
As we started working our way to Sarasota we realized our route was going to take us right past Mr. Dunderbak’s, a place we visited in April while we were in Tampa for the NCAA Frozen Four. We had pretty much decided we wouldn’t make it there on this trip. But…it was hot out with lots of traffic around the time we were going to pass by Mr. Dunderbak’s…so…our boss, Mr. Fun called an “all hands staff meeting” at Mr. Dunderbak’s which turns out to be the Florida office of Mr. Fun. It was a great break to hydrate and have a little snack before we made the final leg on down to Sarasota.

We saw the sign for McKechnie Field as we came across the Tamiami bridge. This is the Spring Training home for the Pittsburgh Pirates. Chet and Matt are huge Pirate fans, so we decided to take a little detour and take a few pictures. Matt thinks the red nose picture might make a perfect Christmas card photo!
Hanging out at the hotel tonight watching the Penguins vs. the Lightening in game 7 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Winner goes to the Stanley Cup Finals. “Elvis has left the building!!!” The Pens win the game 2 to 1 to move on to the Stanley Cup Finals.
